Wellington Hydrogeology Ltd. is an independent consulting firm based in Puslinch, Ontario. We offer specialized hydrogeological and environmental consulting services to our land development clients throughout southern Ontario.

Our commitment is to provide expertise and insights essential for sustainable land development. Our clients include municipalities, private landowners, and residential, industrial and commercial land developers.

Wellington Hydrogeology is registered with Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO) to provide environmental consulting services within the province of Ontario.

At Wellington Hydrogeology, we pride ourselves on cultivating strong professional relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders in the land development industry. We regularly collaborate with planners, ecologists, geotechnical consultants, architects, stormwater and wastewater design engineers, building science professionals and other environmental firms. Our collaborations with municipal and provincial regulatory approval authorities, conservation and source protection agencies, and fellow consultants ensure that our clients receive comprehensive and informed guidance throughout their projects. Through these partnerships, we consistently navigate the complexities of environmental regulations and promote sustainable development practices, ultimately contributing to the responsible stewardship of Ontario’s natural resources.

Angie Mason

Senior Hydrogeologist and CEO

Angie brings 17 years of comprehensive project management and hydrogeological expertise to various groundwater management projects. Her experience includes: land development hydrogeological assessments, Permit to Take Water (PTTW) applications, wetland studies, and groundwater and surface water impact assessments. Angie is also skilled in conducting pumping tests, construction dewatering estimates, onsite infiltration estimates, water balance assessments and Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).

Throughout her career, Angie has provided critical technical and peer review services for numerous municipalities, including the Township of Puslinch, County of Wellington, Wellingon Source Water Protection, Guelph-Eramosa Township, Town of Erin, City of Guelph, and the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP). Angie is also experienced in conducting private well surveys and groundwater interference investigations.

With a Master of Science Degree in Earth Science from the University of Waterloo, Angie is dedicated to upholding high standards in her field. She is a licensed Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) with Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO) and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and is qualified to oversee the completion of Phase I/II ESAs, Records of Site Condition (RSCs), and Excess Soil Management under Ontario Regulations 153/04 and 406/19. Through her work, Angie ensures that projects are managed effectively while maintaining compliance with environmental regulations. 

Angie brings a wealth of experience in managing and conducting comprehensive building surveys for Designated Substances and Hazardous Materials in compliance with O. Reg. 490/09 (Designated Substances) and O. Reg. 278/05 (Asbestos).  Angie has completed asbestos building inspector certification training approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and has managed and conducted hundreds of buildings surveys including office complexes, shopping malls, transit stations, and government buildings.

Angie is a dedicated community member who actively contributes to the growth and development of future environmental professionals. She proudly mentors post-graduate students and sits on the program advisory committee for the Conestoga College Environmental Engineering Applications program, and inspires younger generations as a volunteer and organizing/programming committee member for the annual Waterloo Wellington Children’s Groundwater Festival. In addition to her mentorship role, Angie serves on the PGO Complaints Committee, ensuring that professional standards are upheld in the industry. Her previous involvement with the City of Guelph Environmental Advisory Committee showcases her commitment to fostering sustainable practices within local governance. Through these endeavours, Angie exemplifies leadership and a deep-rooted commitment to environmental stewardship in her community.
